STARKVILLE, Miss. – The push for a No. 1 seed continues for Kentucky.
On the same day the NCAA Tournament selection committee tabbed the Wildcats as the top No. 2 seed in its early bracket reveal, UK added another Quadrant 1 victory to its resume, extending its winning streak to 10 games in a 71-67 victory at Mississippi State.
UK outscored Mississippi State 29-12 in the final 12:20 of the first half to take a 40-25 lead into the halftime locker room. The Wildcats led by as many as 18 points early in the second half before Mississippi State charged back into the game with a 19-2 run to pull within one point with 8:41 remaining.
