LEXINGTON, Ky. — Crisis averted.
Kentucky rallied from a 15-point second-half deficit behind a career-high 29 points from freshman guard Tyler Herro to take down Arkansas 70-66 Tuesday.
The Razorbacks, which entered the night at 5-9 in Southeastern Conference play, took advantage of a listless environment from both Kentucky players and fans early to take an 11-point lead into the halftime locker room. Freshman guard Desi Sills opened the second half with back-to-back 3-pointers to stretch the lead to 15 before the No. 4 Wildcats finally came to life.
Herro, who hit 9 of 10 shots and 5 of 6 3-point attempts, was stellar throughout but did not miss a shot in the second half, hitting all five field-goal attempts and four free throws after Arkansas took it 15-point lead.
