LEXINGTON – Former Pleasure Ridge Park star Elijah Reed faced a difficult transition this spring after graduating a semester early to enroll at UK in time for Kentucky football’s spring practice.
But the Louisville native was aided by a bevy of familiar faces from his hometown already on the roster.
“It helps a lot,” Reed said. “Just knowing people down here. I get to work with those dudes (in Louisville), I get to work with them down here.”
Reed and offensive tackle Kiyaunta Goodwin, a five-star recruit from Louisville who graduated from Charlestown High School in Southern Indiana, are the latest in a wave of players from the Derby City to join Mark Stoops’ program.
