LEXINGTON - Mark Stoops and his Kentucky football staff have closed out the 2020 recruiting cycle by addressing the one lingering concern for the class after the December signing period.
On Wednesday, four-star do-everything athlete Michael Drennen committed to Kentucky over fellow finalist USC. The Dublin, Ohio prep star boasted scholarship offers from many of the programs around the country, including Ohio State, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida and Michigan.
Here's a closer look at what Drennen's commitment means for the 2020 Wildcats and the recruiting class as a whole.
Lynn Bowden replacement?
It would be unfair to expect Drennen to immediately step into the shoes vacated by 2019 Paul Hornung Award winner Lynn Bowden, but he will be the closest thing to a like-for-like replacement on the 2020 roster in terms of skillset.
