What Kentucky's win over Louisville means for rankings and bowl hopes

LEXINGTON, Ky. — With its first nine-win regular season under its belt since 1977, Kentucky has closed the regular season ranked No. 15 in the new USA TODAY Amway Coaches Poll.

The Wildcats moved up three spots after a 56-10 thrashing of rival Louisville in the regular season finale. The Associated Press poll will be released later Sunday afternoon with the College Football Playoff committee's new ranking coming out Tuesday.
