What do the Cats know about Tennessee’s arena? It’s crazy (and hot)

Only a few of Kentucky’s starting players have experienced Rocky Top – PJ Washington and Nick Richards. But for everyone else, the orange explosion known as Thompson-Boling Arena will be a completely new environment. Saturday’s game marks Tennessee’s sixth home sellout of the season, which is a single-season record for the Volunteers. Their average home attendance of 18,771 ranks fourth nationally.

It’s going to be a wild day in there – John Calipari expects it to feel very similar to Kentucky’s home court, but with the momentum swinging against the Cats.

“It’s like playing in Rupp Arena if you’re our opponent,” Calipari said Friday during his pre-Tennessee press conference.
