West Virginia University has fired head football coach Neal Brown.
Brown, a former offensive coordinator at the University of Kentucky, was 37-35 overall as the head man at West Virginia. The Mountaineers are 6-6 and bowl eligible this season.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University Vice President and Director of Athletics Wren Baker announced today that he has made a change in the leadership of the Mountaineer Football program, with Neal Brown’s tenure concluding after six seasons.
“Coach Brown is a great person, and he has served as a tremendous ambassador for West Virginia University,” Baker said.
