Eliot credits defensive backs to red zone success
The defense has played lights out in the red zone this season, holding offenses to a lot more field goals than touchdowns. In the red zone the field is shorter, so defenses have to play it differently. Winning one-on-one in the red zone is key, especially in the corner. Chris Westry is one DB that Eliot noted is doing a very good job at this.
Having Ryan Flannigan back was effective
Flannigan’s brings a lot of speed at the linebacker position that we finally got to see on Saturday.
