Almost a week after Landon Young suffered a season-ending injury, we now know exactly what required surgical repair.
First reported by Jen Smith of the Herald-Leader and confirmed by a UK spokesman, Young tore his left lateral meniscus in a non-contact injury. The UK left tackle underwent successful surgery earlier this week and is expected to make a full recovery.
In Young’s place, E.J. Price and Naasir Watkins will fill the role by committee. As they compete for the starting position, their coaches and teammates had quite a few good things to say about their play.
