Kentucky took the lead, 54-52, with 4:25 left to play after a Davion Mintz 3-pointer. The Wildcats would later have the ball coming out of a timeout with 3:57 to play still leading 54-52. Unfortunately, Alabama would go on to win the game by a score of 70-59 to drop the ‘Cats to 5-10 overall and 4-4 in SEC play.
Letting this game slip through our grasp in the final four minutes will definitely haunt us, but there were countless opportunities through the first 36 minutes of the game that could have allowed much more breathing room for Kentucky.
