Oscar Tshiebwe didn’t suit up for the season-opener vs. Howard as he recovers from a minor knee procedure, but Kentucky made sure he was still part of the festivities. Before the game, Oscar was presented with the Naismith Trophy, one of his many national Player of the Year honors, and a ball commemorating his 1,000th career point, which he scored in the loss to Saint Peter’s.
Those of us watching at home didn’t get to see much of the ceremony, but thankfully, our videographer Steven Peake was in the house to capture it. Check out the Oscar goodness below along with the team intros.
