After a rough start — and inspired effort by Texas A&M Commerce — Kentucky finally found its footing thanks to its veterans. Antonio Reeves and Tre Mitchell combined for 39 points to help propel the Cats to the 81-61 victory, their second win of the season.
Reeves was especially impressive, going 5-8 from the three-point line to infuse a sleepy and sloppy squad with some energy. Mitchell had his hands all over the box score, leading Kentucky in rebounding (8) and tying Reed Sheppard in steals (3). In all, five players finished in double figures.
