Josh Paschal has been overcoming obstacles and inspiring the BBN throughout his entire career with the Kentucky football program, and he isn’t slowing down now.
Paschal recently traveled to Philadelphia to attend the Uplifting Athletes Young Investigator Draft, where he was honored as a member of the 2019 Rare Disease Champion Team. The outside linebacker spent the previous year receiving treatment, including three surgeries and monthly immunotherapy treatments, for a malignant melanoma diagnosis.
The 2019 Rare Disease Champion Team, which includes just four other players in addition to Paschal, was celebrated at the Maxwell Football Club Awards Gala at the Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City on March 6, and again at the Uplifting Athletes’ Young Investigator Draft at Lincoln Financial Field Philadelphia on March 7.
