College basketball coaching legend and former Kentucky head coach Eddie Sutton was officially inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Saturday, joining Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, Tamika Catchings, Patrick Baumann, Kim Mulkey, Barbara Stevens, and Rudy Tomjanovich as inductees.
And to help honor the late Sutton, who passed away in May 2020 at the age of 84, Kentucky head coach John Calipari introduced him alongside Kansas coach Bill Self and former NBA All-Star Sidney Moncrief.
“Hall of Fame basketball coach Eddie Sutton,” Calipari said. “Doesn’t that ring nicely? … He coached ball everywhere.
