Not all postseason dreams are dead in Kentucky. The Georgetown Tigers are 40 minutes away from taking home their third NAIA National Title, the second in four years. The game against Oklahoma City’s Mid-America Christian University tips off at 8:00 on ESPN3.
The #1 Tigers have been coached to a 32-3 record by former UK manager Chris Briggs. Briggs was a manager from 2001-04 and spent two years as a graduate assistant for Tubby Smith. After four seasons as an assistant for Tigers, he took the reigns as the head coach and has absolutely crushed it, winning the NAIA coach of the year after bringing home the school’s second National Championship in 2013.
