John Calipari met with the media last night following Kentucky’s stunning home loss to UNC Wilmington.
Calipari pointed a finger at not being able to stop UNC Wilmington defensively, noting that players couldn’t stay in front of the ball.
“Well, the first thing is this was Saint Joe’s again where we couldn’t stay in front of the ball,” Calipari said in response to the opening question. “And you can scheme and do all the stuff and they go and do an A-1 lay-up on a straight line drive, it’s hard. So we’ve got time in between games, and we’ve got to keep working on the importance of staying in front of your man and make him score through your chest.
