Elgin. Wilt. Kobe.
That’s the kind of company Devin Booker will be in the same breath as when it comes to single-game performances. Om Friday night, Booker scored as a career-high 70 points in the Suns’ 130-120 loss to the Celtics in Boston. He finished the game 21-of-40 from the field, including 24-of-26 shooting from the charity stripe.
The 21-year-old former Wildcat is the first NBA player to reach 70 points since Kobe dropped 81 in the 2005-06 season. Booker is tied with Wilt Chamberlain for 10th on the all-time single-game scoring list.
