This afternoon, the University of Kentucky announced its 2020 Hall of Fame Class, with Ron Mercer (men’s basketball), Wayne Turner (men’s basketball), Danny Trevathan (football), AJ Reed (baseball), Sawyer Carroll (baseball), and Chanda Bell (softball) all set to be inducted into the UK Hall of Fame this fall.
Not long after the announcement went public, the UK football social media team posted a video of the moment Trevathan – who played at Kentucky from 2008-11 and became a two-year All-America linebacker – learned he was being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
UK athletics director Mitch Barnhart welcomed him to the Zoom video call before surprising the former Wildcat with the news that he was officially set to become a Hall of Famer.
