On the other side of the Atlantic Ocean on Sunday, Kentucky men’s basketball picked up its first big win of the 2022-23 season.
The Wildcats managed to fend off the Michigan Wolverines at the O2 Arena in London, England by a final score of 73-69. After dropping the two previous matchups against Power 5 opponents (Michigan State and Gonzaga), Kentucky needed a victory over Michigan in the worst way. Five different ‘Cats finished with double-figures against the Wolverines, led by 14 points from Jacob Toppin and a 13-point, 14-rebound performance from Oscar Tshiebwe.
