Kentucky’s TyTy Washington is now a three-time winner of the SEC’s Freshman of the Week award.
Today, the league announced Washington won the award for a second straight week; although, this time he shares the honor with Auburn forward Jabari Smith. Smith had 16 points in the Tigers’ win over LSU, his only qualifying game for this round of the weekly award.
Washington, on the other hand, had two nice performances on his Freshman of the Week resume. First, he scored 14 points with six rebounds and two assists in his first-ever SEC contest, the win over Mizzou last Wednesday.
