Going 16-7 as the team’s starter in his time at Kentucky, senior quarterback Terry Wilson has earned the right to start in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl, his final game as a Wildcat. UK head coach Mark Stoops said as much during his pre-game press conference on Monday, confirming that Wilson will lead the offense for one last time against North Carolina State on Saturday.
Stoops would love to see UK’s other quarterbacks, Joey Gatewood and Beau Allen, in the game, but Wilson will get his shot.
“Terry (Wilson) is our starter,” Stoops said. “I wanted to use this opportunity to continue to develop our young guys so I sure would like to play them.
