Bowl preparation has officially begun, as the Kentucky Wildcats kicked off their first practice leading up to Georgia Tech this afternoon. According to Eddie Gran, the players had an excellent practice with “not a lot of rust,” despite this being the first time they’ve thrown on pads since the Thanksgiving holiday. “It was a great practice. I thought the tempo was fantastic,” he said. “We got in and out. It was fast. We were ahead in every single period, and that’s a good thing. So, I think they kind of enjoyed it. They hadn’t seen us in two weeks, so not a lot of butt-chewings.
