A high-profile transfer option who was once linked to Kentucky is officially off the board.
This afternoon, VCU transfer Marcus Santos-Silva announced his commitment to Texas Tech, choosing the Red Raiders over Arizona State, Georgia, Maryland, Ole Miss, and Penn State.

Last season at VCU, Santos-Silva was the team’s leading scorer, rebounder, and shot-blocker, averaging 12.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game last season while shooting 56.9% from the field.
Not long after Santos-Silva announced he would be entering the transfer portal and leaving the VCU program, Kentucky signee Terrence Clarke took to Instagram to express his interest in the Boston, MA native, telling the Big Blue Nation to “show him love” and to “get him [to Lexington].
