Vanderbilt’s Shurmur back for Kentucky game

Mason announced today that true freshman Kyle Shurmur is fully available for Saturday’s contest with Kentucky in Nashville. Shurmur has been cleared to play after suffering a head injury two weeks ago against Houston.

Shurmer made his first career start in the win over Missouri, throwing for 89 yards on 10-of-20 passing with no picks or TDs. He started again against Houston and was 3-for-11 with an interception at the time of the injury.

Vanderbilt threw for 31 yards last week against Florida in Shurmur’s absence.
