Update on UK’s plan for fan attendance at football and basketball games

The University of Kentucky is still planning on having fans for football and basketball games this fall, but not at full capacity.

According to KSR, UK athletics director Mitch Barnhart is telling donors that the school could have just 50% of fans at games this fall.

Two sources have informed Kentucky Sports Radio that UK Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart has been contacting donors to discuss scenarios for the upcoming seasons, with the primary plan calling for 50% capacity at football and basketball games. For Kroger Field, that would mean a crowd of 30,500 and for Rupp Arena, 10,272 (due to the most recent renovations, Rupp’s capacity is now 20,545).
