Kentucky sports fans are going to notice some changes at the concession stands this season in Lexington.
Beginning this fall, UK athletic director Mitch Barnhart announced Friday, the university will allow beer and seltzer sales at football games and other sporting events, including men's basketball games.
The university had previously not sold alcoholic drinks to the general public at athletics events — until 2019, the Southeastern Conference did not permit alcohol sales at games.
Kentucky moved in the winter to allow beer and seltzer sales at 2023 UK baseball and softball games.
