LEXINGTON - What could be viewed as a footnote in UK basketball’s 2019-20 season constituted major news in the tiny town of Olive Hill in Carter County, Kentucky.
Former West Carter High School baseball and basketball star Ben Jordan had joined the Kentucky basketball team to help address a shortage of frontcourt practice depth.
“It’s shocking, but it’s great for our program,” West Carter coach Jeremy Webb told The Courier Journal in a phone interview earlier this week.
