COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — John Calipari will take two of his Kentucky Wildcats with him to Egypt for the U19 World Championships.
Hamidou Diallo and PJ Washington were among the 12 players to make the cut for Calipari's Team USA on Thursday.
"This is going to be great for Hami and it's going to be great for PJ," Calipari said. "It really is."
A third Wildcats freshman had an impressive training camp, but a hamstring injury forced Kevin Knox to leave for Lexington. Knox was the best player here, according to team members Romeo Langford and Immanuel Quickley, but Diallo, a 6-foot-5 guard, and the 6-foot-8 forward Washington weren't far behind.
