Wide receivers coach Lamar Thomas is being let go by UK and head coach Mark Stoops. Patrick Loney was first to break the news.
Thomas came to Lexington after the 2015 season. He previously coached at Louisville and was a key piece in securing Lamar Jackson’s commitment to that university.
While Thomas was viewed as a big hire for Stoops at the time, it’s not quite materialized into what UK had hoped for. Thomas has offered very little on the recruiting front, and he’s not done a great job at developing younger receivers during his first two seasons.
