Here’s a story that will give anyone the feels. During the Kentucky Wildcats’ win over Louisiana-Lafayette on Saturday, the Special Olympics athletes at the university were given the chance to walk out onto the field during the fourth quarter.
The university shared video of the athletes getting the full football team treatment as they made their way out onto the field. There was fog, fireworks, entrance music, and the crowd going nuts.
What a great way to make these people feel great. They will never forget this experience for the rest of their lives and they will certainly feel welcome at future Wildcats’ games.
