The 2022 Spring Commencement is making history.
The University of Kentucky expects to see 114 student-athletes graduate either this weekend at Rupp Arena or into the summer term, setting a new school record. The 114 student-athletes are spread out across 19 different programs with 11 individuals earning their master’s degrees, including Men’s Basketball guard Davion Mintz and Football offensive lineman Luke Fortner.
The 2022 spring semester marks the 19th consecutive semester where UK student-athletes held a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
“With the variety of issues in college athletics today, education and competitive excellence remain the heartbeat of what we do,” Mitch Barnhart, UK Director of Athletics, said in UK’s press release.
