For the second consecutive day, the University of Kentucky football program picked up a commitment from a talented high school cornerback out of Florida.
Jamari Brown — a 6-foot-3, 180-pound prospect from Pompano Beach, Fla. — announced his commitment to the Wildcats on Thursday, picking UK over fellow finalists Auburn and Temple.
Brown’s pledge came after four-star cornerback Stanley Garner announced his own commitment to UK on Wednesday, and the two Florida prep stars join junior-college defensive back Dom Williams in the Cats’ recruiting class of 2018.
UK now has five commitments for next year from the state of Florida, which the program has been recruiting hard lately.
