Starting today, coaches can call and text 2017 recruits, and John Calipari didn’t waste any time getting in touch with the nation’s top prospects. According to Evan Daniels, Kentucky offered 2017 power forward/center Mohamed Bamba, a five-star power forward from Westtown School in Norristown, Pennsylvania.
Bamba already has offers from Arizona, UConn, Florida State, Indiana, and Missouri, and Duke is reportedly showing interest. Bamba is considered the 2nd best power forward and and sixth best player in the 2017 class by 247 Sports. He’s 6’11” with a 7’8″ wingspan, 9’5″ standing reach and apparently he’s still growing.
