Over the last two months, Kentucky was out of the mix for Stewart, then became the favorite, then went back to seemingly being out of the mix.
So of course, the next step is for Kentucky to somehow get back into the mix.
According to Ben Roberts of the Lexington Herald-Leader, Stewart is among the recruits Calipari plans to visit this week, which includes Matthew Hurt and Keion Brooks. Roberts added that “the Herald-Leader was told Monday that UK still sees itself as a legitimate contender” for Stewart.
Since Brooks does play at the same high school as Stewart, it makes sense for Calipari to see both of them, but it is still yet another odd chapter in a recruitment that no one seems to have a real feel for.
