UK legend Bob Burrow passes away

Bob Burrow, a two-time All-American and UK Athletics Hall of Famer, passed away on Thursday at the age of 84.

Burrow was a two-year star (1955-56) under head coach Adolph Rupp in the 50s. He became the eighth member of UK’s 1,000-point club in just two seasons thanks to a 20.1 scoring average at UK.

Burrow was also a force to be reckoned with on the boards. In his first season at UK, Burrow averaged 17.7 rebounds per game, which still stands as the best single-season average in school history. His 14.6 average the following season still ranks fourth all-time.
