Earlier this week we learned former Kentucky linebacker Wesley Woodyard picked up a coaching gig in his retirement from 12 seasons in the NFL. Woodyard told Kentucky Sports Radio he dropped the football and picked up a baseball, and now serves as his son’s little league coach down in Florida.
What he didn’t mention in our conversation is how his new little league job is only a stepping stone to his ultimate coaching dream: to be the head football coach at the University of Kentucky.
Woodyard shared his interest in the job when he hopped back on the 630 WLAP airwaves Friday morning to chat with Tom Leach on the Leach Report.
