While his senior season didn’t end with the result he would have hoped for, future Kentucky commit Izayah Cummingsstill took home a fancy piece of hardware.
Cummings, a three-star wide receiver from Male High School in Louisville, was named the Class 6A Player of the Year by the Kentucky Football Coaches Association, according to the Courier-Journal.
Cummings and his Male squad faced off against crosstown rival Trinity High School in Kroger Field earlier on Sunday for the Class 6A State Championship. The Shamrocks of Trinity (13-2) thoroughly outplayed Male (14-1), taking home its 26th state title by a score of 28-6.
