LEXINGTON - If Kentucky football coach Mark Stoops had his way, at least a few of the six Wildcat players charged with burglary would already be back with the team.
"We’ve been patient," Stoops said during his opening statement at a Monday news conference to preview Kentucky's season opener versus Louisiana Monroe. "Our players have been patient.
"You have to trust the system. That gets hard. Our players have been out a long time. They’ve missed probably 13 weeks, 14 weeks of time on the field right now with this situation. Have to believe in the system.
