LEXINGTON - The long-talked about renovation to the Kentucky football indoor practice facility is about to move ahead.
The university Board of Trustees athletics committee will consider two proposals related to the project Thursday afternoon: the construction of a new indoor track and field facility and the renovation of the Nutter Fieldhouse to create a "football-focused environment."
The current fieldhouse setup includes the turf football field surrounded by the indoor track. The presence of the track means the football field tapers off in each end zone.
"We need a 100-yard field," UK coach Mark Stoops said in December.
