NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Kentucky basketball team will be without Quade Green for the second consecutive game Saturday at Vanderbilt.
The No. 20 Wildcats (13-3, 3-1) beat Texas A&M, 74-73, earlier this week at Rupp Arena without Green, who strained his back last week at Tennessee. Green, who is averaging 10.7 points, 3.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds this season, watched from the bench at Vanderbilt as some of his teammates warmed up prior to the 4 p.m. tipoff.
Freshman guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander started in Green's place and posted 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists against Texas A&M.
