Nearly 1,000 students at the University of Kentucky are participating in DanceBlue this weekend, which is a 24-hour no sleeping, no sitting dance marathon. Over the past 15 years, the event has raised over $15.3 million dollars for the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital Hematology and Oncology Clinic, and it’s one of UK’s greatest traditions… alongside the school’s history of excellence on the basketball court, of course.
Sunday afternoon, the school found a way to combine those two traditions.
The Kentucky men’s basketball team came by Memorial Coliseum to help lift the spirits of the dancers, who have been on their feet for over 17 hours straight at this point.
