Kentucky needed some help from Mississippi State in Knoxville to crawl out of the dreaded No. 3 seed spot in the SEC Tournament; unfortunately, Tennessee won big on Admiral Schofield’s Senior Night. Now the Cats will need Tennessee to lose to Auburn on Saturday if UK is going to have any shot whatsoever at dodging the late Friday night game in Nashville. It could happen — in fact, the ESPN’s BPI gives Auburn the nod with a 54.5 percentage chance of winning that game — but we shouldn’t count on it.
