Last night, word spread that Kentucky sophomore center Ugonna Onyenso injured his ankle in a closed scrimmage ahead of the GLOBL Jam. This morning, John Calipari confirmed the injury on social media and said that Onyenso will miss Kentucky’s first game vs. Team Germany, and his status for the remainder of the event is uncertain.
“At the end of yesterday’s scrimmage, Ugonna hurt his ankle,” Calipari tweeted. “He’s not going to play today and we will have to see if he can do anything the rest of the week.
