TyTy Washington never got the chance to play against Louisville during his lone season at Kentucky. The Cardinals canceled the game due to COVID-19, forcing the Wildcats to find a replacement on the schedule.
Rather than a rivalry matchup, UK would instead play Western Kentucky on December 22, defeating the Hilltoppers by a final score of 95-60.
Five months later, the former Wildcat wants to make it clear that he’s not moving on from the rivalry, even without a head-to-head battle.
“I wish the Derby was in Lexington,” Washington wrote on Twitter, one of many rivalry tweets he shared throughout the weekend.
