Tyrese Maxey’s new high school uniform looks familiar

I assume South Garland’s new uni is an ode to Secretariat, so I looked into Secretariat’s connection to the Lone Star State. Turns out, a stallion named Country Side was believed to be Secretariat’s oldest living offspring, and he lived in Needville until his death in 2014. Needville is only 300 miles from Garland, so by Mitch Barnhart’s logic, it makes perfect sense to honor Secretariat at South Garland High.
