The Kentucky Wildcats and star point guard Tyler Ulis are picking up some well-deserved honors for their efforts during Saturday's win over the Louisville Cardinals.
Ulis has been named this week's SEC Player of the Week after leading the Wildcats past the Cardinals with a 75-73 victory. Ulis matched a career high with 21 points on a career-best four three-pointers made. He also dished out a game-high eight assists and was named the Bluegrass Sports Commission MVP of the game.
Ulis was also named the national player of the week by Rob Dauster of NBC Sports' College Basketball Talk for what was arguably his best game this season after an elbow injury led to a slow start for him this season.
