Tyler “Chip” McDaniel took the tee and stole the show yesterday. Through three rounds, McDaniel shot a 1-under 212 to tie for third place overall. His under-par score was also the best on Kentucky’s five man team and his personal best of the year. Kentucky combined to shoot 14-over for the weekend and finish sixth place in a field of 10 teams.

McDaniel had a slow start to the tournament, posting a 4-over 75 first round score. However, a 1-under 70 on moving day provided the momentum he needed to make a run on Tuesday.

The veteran birdied the first, third, fourth, fifth, and tenth holes to tally a 5-under score through ten during his final round.
