If you just looked at today’s box score, you would think Tyler Herro had a horrible day; offensively, he did, but his defense more than made up for it. Herro held Fletcher Magee, the NCAA record holder for career threes, to eight points and a shocking 0-12 mark from the behind the arc. Afterwards, John Calipari admitted he was hesitant to put Herro on Magee, but Herro proved it was the right call.
“I worried about putting Tyler on Magee, and I worried about it because I didn’t want to wear him out because we need his offense because PJ is not playing.
