Tyler Herro took a major leap from his sophomore season in 2020-21 to his third-year campaign in 2021-22, winning the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award in the process. Heading into the 2022-23 season for the Miami Heat, he’s looking for even more.
“Yeah for sure,” Herro said during his end-of-season interview on Tuesday about prioritizing a starting role for next year. “In some way, I would like to start. I think it’s my fourth year, so I think I’ve earned it, and we’ll see what happens.“
During his breakout season with Miami, which recently came to an end in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Boston Celtics, Herro was spectacular off the pine.
