Over the last week, the Heat have been discussing a trade for Thunder All-Star Russell Westbrook, and Tyler Herro’s name has been brought up a lot.
That’s because the Heat had yet to sign Herro, the 13th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. Until Herro was signed, the Heat could trade him instantly, but once he’s signed, they have to wait at least 30 days to do so.
The trade speculation will end for the time being, as the team announced Herro had signed his rookie contract on Wednesday.
